I saw a light. It was a simple light, but it was there. It shone bright in that dark place. The place where small, food deprived manlike creatures crouch in fear. They have painted faces to match those of each other, but you cannot see, for it is too dark. They lack clothing, or perhaps it just kind of faded away. They're paler than the palest of pale, hence the lack of light. They have deep, gouges in their faces for eyes, with the constant blood pouring from the wounds. They never heal, for they always tear at the deep sockets with their long, neglected fingernails. They have no teeth; not anymore. Their cheeks are rotting away, their gums are diseased beyond belief. They gnaw on old rope, making their gums bleed to satisfy their thirst. They smash their crowned heads against the bars that surround them, just to keep a rhythm going for their song. They're always humming, but the tune is unrecongnizable, and it never changes. They harmonize so haunting, so sacred and beautiful. But their lack of souls prove they are damned. And I caught this glimpse of whom created such a racket in my bones when the light flickered for a small fraction of a second. The source of the light was undiscovered. But I found my way in here, and I never wanted to. And now I wake.
